With over seven million combined members, the National FFA Organization and 4H are among the largest youth organizations in the United States. Each year, thousands of high school students raise livestock as part of FFA and 4-H initiated projects, and each year these students converge at various state and local livestock shows to “show” their animals for belt buckles, and college scholarships.

County Fair, Texas is a portrait of a year in the lives of four, small-town kids as they raise and care for farm animals to show in competition at a local county fair. Presented from the perspective of the kids themselves, the film is an affecting coming of age story, and a unique look at a formidable time in childhood.
